XPLOSION PERFORMANCE HORSE RATION
We are very pleased to announce the latest addition to the EQUILINE® Brand of Equine Feeds from Shur-Gain® – NEW EQUILINE® XPLOSION PERFORMANCE HORSE RATION.
This exciting product is specifically designed to provide controlled energy to your performance
horse when they need it. Elevated fat and energy levels help meet the demands of training and
competitive challenges of the performance horse.
Combining the benefits of an assortment of pelleted products with a hint of molasses in a textured
ration – EQUILINE® XPLOSION PERFORMANCE HORSE RATION is a very palatable
"Grainola" textured ration. This dynamic mix features pellets for protein, essential vitamins and
minerals, while the unique cubits and nuggets provide highly digestible fibre from beet pulp and
alfalfa. Quality grains are a source of quick energy for extra power, and energy rich oil from
flaxseed and soybeans provide that endless supply of energy.
Oil is a "clean" source of energy as it does not produce waste products, such as lactic acid, as it
is digested. Oil produces 2.5 times more energy as oats, and it releases it gradually, providing
energy during the entire performance. Unlike grains that contain starch as the source of energy,
oil is a great energy source that does not get your horse "hot". The ideal energy source for the
competition horse is a combination of starch and oils. Starch is a quick available energy for extra
"power", while oil is a "slow release" energy for stamina. The result is your horse has sufficient
energy and stamina to reach its uppermost potential, while keeping in control.
Elevated levels of selenium and sodium reduce the occurrence of muscle disorders, such as tying
up. Extra magnesium in the ration helps replenish what is lost during exercise and sweating,
which contributes to healthy bone tissue and well performing muscles.
As with all of our Equiline® Feeds, it also contains a high quality yeast culture, resulting in
enhanced fibre digestion, a reduction in lactic acid build-up, and is also a great source of B
vitamins. Easily digestible organic selenium and high levels of vitamin E help repair the muscles
after strenuous exercise.
